“I was pleased to become a co-opted governor in July 2015 having recently retired from a full time career in Children’s Services spanning three different Local Authority Areas.  From a Social Work background I held senior management responsibility for social work services, and as a member of the Safeguarding Board and Children’s Partnership I had significant involvement in multiagency work to deliver strong safeguarding practice and the development of early years services to help get children off to the best possible start in life.  I believe that a good education, where all children have the opportunity and support to learn is vital.  I hope that my experience will assist me in becoming a critical friend to Queenswood School, ensuring that school values are upheld to meet the needs of each child."
